Some of the hysterical "gap must close" calls from public forums are a constant butt of many jokes that I personally have been privvy to. It is commonly referred to as "Gap Theory" and is not given much credence at all.

I didn't read anyone saying the gap must close on this thread or any others for that matter.

Big difference between suggesting the possibility or likelyhood of a gap closing that saying it 'must' close.

perhaps this guy isn't up to scratch and his qualifications not acceptable to the ATAA? Maybe they just laughed at his research?
