Foster's Group could lose its licence to produce and distribute the StellaArtois beer brand in Australia. Anheuser-Busch InBev may give the licence toLion Nathan when it expires, as it has already been granted the licence for theBudweiser brands in Australia and New Zealand. Foster's is also believed tobe in danger of losing the licence for Grupo Modelo's Corona brand. LionNathan already holds the Corona licence in New Zealand
It would not be pretty if they lose either Stella or Corona, these brands underpin their 'imported' premium beer portfolio.
