    I don't think this is a takeover play. Mac Bank holds 20% equity which I would consider to be a blocking play to ensure it has an independent distribution channel for its mortgage products. Mac Bank also has a stake in Connective, another large aggregator, which I believe is for the same purpose. Vow is a fantastically run organisation by the way (A comment from personal experience).
