Would not get too excited. In England similar statements were made, Tesco, Sainsburys and WM all sold off, and now it is back to the basic duopoly/ oligopoly. Same here in the States with Walmart not being threatened at all by COST. It never happened in NZ, Countdown and Coop still going strong.
In France, Carrefour leaves all behind it.
Grocers grab the cash and have it racked: Aldi will not go close to Woolworths and Coles/ Wesfarmers IMHO but pls DYOR.
