i shop at both Coles and Woolies.

there is bugger all difference in prices that i have noticed.

but the perception by the shoppers is that Woolies is desperate and cutting prices to the bone.
add to that- the major upgrades to a lot of their supermarkets. that's why Woolies are bustling with people traffic.

you also had the Masters discount sales which fuelled the perception that Woolies are discounting en masse.

this is money for jam at results.

ps- i just can't fathom how pathetic the Coles same store sales were.
