Nov 16 (Reuters) - Australian engineering service provider WorleyParsons (WOR) said on Friday it planned to take a 50 percent shareholding in New Zealand Oil Services Ltd (NZOSL), as part of a joint venture with British oil giant BP Plc's BP.L New Zealand unit.
NZOSL is an energy storage terminals operator, which provides services to its shareholders - BP Oil and Z Energy (ZEL) .
Under the deal inked between BP Oil New Zealand and WorleyParsons, NZOSL will deliver engineering, project delivery and asset management services to BP's seven bulk fuel storage, handling and distribution facilities in New Zealand.
WorleyParsons will become NZOSL's preferred contractor to deliver engineering, project delivery and asset management services.
