Virgin Australia Holdings Limited (ASX:VAH) has added five new destinations to its network across Indonesia as part of its codeshare expansion with Singapore Airlines.
The airline says it’s added Bandung, Balikpapan, Lombok, Palembang and Solo to its routes, which would be reached via Singapore.
The additions bring the total number of Virgin marketed destinations from Australia and New Zealand to Indonesia to 10.
Virgin Australia chief commercial officer Judith Crompton says Indonesia is the largest economy in Southeast Asia and one of Australia’s most important trading partners, with over $11 billion dollars worth of trade between the two countries.
Virgin booked a net loss of $98.1 million in fiscal 2013.
