Virgin Blue Holdings Ltd (ASX:VBA) says it does not expect, what it calls, a "modest" 30 per cent hike on its credit card surcharge to deter people off booking flights with the airline.
Virgin Blue recently increased its credit card surcharge for domestic flights from $1 to $4.50 per passenger per segment just before Christmas. It was the first increase in 18 months and was effective from December 21.
For the half year ended 30 June 2010, Virgin Blue reported a net profit of $21.3 million.
