DUBAI, Dec 20 (Reuters) - The lowest offer for wheat in Egyptian state grain buyer GASC's international purchase tender on Thursday was $246.40 a tonne, free on board (FOB), for 60,000 tonnes of Ukraine wheat, traders said.
The offer, presented by Louis Dreyfus, was also the cheapest on a cost and freight (C&F) basis including freight, at $263.70, they said.
Results of the tender, which calls for shipment Feb. 11-20, are expected later on Thursday.
Traders said the following offers were presented in dollars per tonne on an FOB basi
*Louis Dreyfu 60,000 tonnes of Ukraine wheat at $246.40 *GTCS: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $249.95 *Aston: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $255 *CHS: 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat at $248.75 *ADM: 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat at $252.11 *Cofco: 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat at $252.99 *Amerop 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat at $254.75 *Amerop 55,000 tonnes of U.S. Hard Red wheat at $250.25
Traders said the following were the best C&F offers in dollars per tonne:
- Louis Dreyfu 60,000 tonnes of Ukraine at $246.40 and $17.30 freight equating to $263.70
- CHS: 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat at $248.75 and $15.35 freight equating to $264.10
- GTCS: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $249.95 and $16.30 equating to $266.25
- ADM: 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat at $252.11 and $13.95 freight equating to $266.06
- Cofco: 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat at $252.99 and $13.95 equating to $266.94
