    the only reason Aldi can operate at even the skinniest of margins , is because they dodge shopping centre rents.

    they don't lease space as a rule, but just buy stand alone land to suit their needs.

    ps- isn't it refreshing to have someone expressing an intelligent opinion without trying to denigrate ad nausea?
    that is only achieved by being exposed to shoppers with just that little bit of class only found at my local Woolies.
