UCW Limited (ASX:UCW) has been granted a trading halt by the ASX this morning pending the outcome of a general meeting.
UCW is acquiring Australian Learning Group Pty Limited, which is a provider of accredited education and has delivered revenue growth of circa 20% per annum over the past 3 years.
The company recently received approval for an increase in student numbers, which could add to the bottom line.
UCW's general meeting today will put a vote to shareholders to change the nature of the business.
The halt will remain in place until the opening of trade on Wednesday 9th September 2015, or earlier if an announcement is made to the market.
