Tatts Group Limited (ASX:TTS) has advised that the State of Victoria will appeal a decision by the Victorian State of Appeal for the state to pay the company $540 million.
The gambling company refers to a decision by the appeals court earlier this month which upheld the Supreme Court of Victoria’s decision.
The State of Victoria has now lodged an application in the High Court of Australia seeking special leave to appeal the decision.
Tatts says it will oppose the application and it is not known when the issue will be heard and determined.
Tatts reported a net profit of $200 million in the 2014 financial year.
