Airport owner MAp Group (ASX:MAP) has reported double-digit growth for Sydney airport for the six months to 30 June.
The operator that owns a 74% stake in the airport, says the growth represents EBITDA, of $367.2 million, a 12.7% increase over the previous corresponding period.
For the same period, Sydney Airport recorded a 9.4% increase in traffic.
MAp CEO Kerrie Mather says the airport has again delivered strong results driven by growth in domestic capacity and materially higher load factors on international routes.
Ms Mather says Sydney Airport is seeing the benefit of the $1.7 billion investment since 2002 to support growth and meet passenger needs.
MAp Group reported a $572.7 million loss for the year ending 30 December 2009.
