Dec 5 (Reuters) - Sumatra Copper & Gold Plc (SUM) :
- Asx alert-damage to underground drill rig-sum.ax
- Advises that damage was sustained to one of underground jumbo drill rigs at its tembang gold-silver operation
- There will be short term impact on production from interim bcf ore drives
- A large quantity of perched water was encountered following blasting of level6 east ore drive on Dec 2
- Expected that there should not be any effect on 2017 production guidance due to damage
- Currently estimated that single boom jumbo will be out of service for up to six weeks
