I can't work this government of Tanzania out. On one hand they want to use their county's resources to improve their power supply, then on the other hand they want to take land off an Australian publically listed company and give it to a wealthy businessman.

He bans the importation of coal into Tanzania, then shafts the only coal supplier and it's shareholders.
Maybe the president should focus on his state run, loss making power company first?

If we have to relinquish some of the Ngaka deposit, I hope we don't have to offer ANY support or information to Dangote. That's not what I have poured thousands of $$ into this company for.
As I stated before, surely it will take a long time and a lot of money for Dangote to remove all the overburden, buy his washplant, hire staff & transport etc.
I wonder if they will have to undertake their own drilling?

Just giving myself a reality check here...from a company report -
"The Ngaka Coalfields comprise the Mbalawala sub basin, the Ngaka Central Basin and the Mbuyura/Mkapa sub basin. Work in the Mbalawala basin is the most advanced."

So I'd assume that we give them some relatively unexplored part of the coalfield?Mbuyura/Mkapa sub basin perhaps?  Or will we be forced to give up some important piece of land?

More importantly, out JORC of 423Mil/t is only in the Mbalawala  area?

"JB Mining reported a downgrade of resources for the Mbalawala Block from 251 million tonnes JORC resource to 216 million tonnes (previously reported by Ravensgate Minerals Industry Consultants in 2010), though an overall increase in JORC resources of 69% to 423 million tonnes."

So even if we have to give away some land, our main resource is safe??

Its the unpredictability of the government that concerns me.
