Seven Media Group has dropped claims that former executive James Warburton took confidential information when he left to join Ten Network Holdings Ltd (ASX:TEN).
According to Seven Media the confidential information taken included revenue, ratings and client data as well as digital television strategy reports and sales and strategy presentations.
Representation for Seven told the NSW Supreme Court the claim has now been retracted as there is no longer a threat the confidential information will be used.
Mr Warburton was due to start as chief executive at Ten in July but legal action has prevented him from starting until October next year.
The trial continues today, with Seven Media chief executive David Leckie due to take the stand.
In the 2010 financial year Ten reported a net profit of $150 million.
