No one can object to businesses with larger turnover getting volume discounts and incentives. The deals are reasonably transparent as presented to pharmacies by generic companies. Price disclosure policy and improved codes of practice amongst generic companies and trade practices oversight has help this. It is perhaps the advantageous settlement terms that were before and probably still are the main point of discontent. Obviously the terms are confidential but can include the likes of extended credit, settlement discounts and rebates etc.
The preferential terms have in part help fund the CW expansion much to the discontent of Sigma's group pharmacies.
