I think Symbion and API would be very reluctant to take on CW business under better terms than the Sigma terms that are currently in place. Their group pharmacy owners like Terry White, Chemmart, and Priceline have as much grunt as CW and their other loyal pharmacies would be very unhappy if they gave CW preferential terms. Their would be a revolt.

Sigma would not have taken this legal action without having a fair idea of the sentiment of the other CSO's towards CW.

I don't think CW will have the option of buying Sandoz generics direct as the wholesalers would have very tight distribution deals in place or would be rapidly renegotiating them.

The retail pharmacy industry generally and its professional bodies would love the opportunity to take down CW at any opportunity. Although you have to admire their business model and how they have grown their business they are now getting too big for their boots. Ever since they opened up a business 50 metres from a long standing community pharmacy, I realised they are run by people who have little respect for the industry as a whole and its ethics. They are ruthless business people and have pressured many suppliers before and it is great to see Sigma taking a stand.
