Other customers of Sigma have always criticised Sigma- due to "preferential treatment" perception of CW Group, real or otherwise. So this might be well received in some circles. The brands issue is more about competition with other brands owned by other wholesalers.
Their brands are seeing falling numbers, so they do appear to have other issues as well.
