Decommissioning the plant? I don't think so!
Care and maintenance maybe one day, but that's far too early to call.
There is still minable ore at DeGrussa.
There is Monty too, and I bet that its life will greater than currently thought. There should be extensions. Also, there should be more copper outside the mine.
SFR also has copper at Neds Creek to the east - Thaduna and Green Dragon. Blythefan can't understand why SFR hasn't attacked that area yet.
Then there are the small vms cu/au discoveries to the west that show promise of delivering one day.
And don't dismiss SFR taking on the Horseshoe Lights copper either. That's the site of the original Bryah basin VMS cu/au discovery which Horseshoe Metals holds. There could be a synergy there one day.
I think that someone with influence, power and money is working the price down. Maybe there is a takeover offer in the wind with SFR scrip to issue as consideration, either in part or in full. A low price could be an enticement to the one being courted.
