A stockbroker has different interests to an investor. For 30 years, you've made money from buying and selling stocks for others. Maximising the stock turnover would result in higher revenues
An investor on the other hand, finds a company he would like to own, at a price he's comfortable paying, then buys it... and then, they wait. Maximising stock turnover in this case would result in lower returns.
Just different interests, that's all
