I think that we can all agree that the sales guidance announcement is very poorly written. In the first paragraph they confirm their guidance re amalgam sales for FY17 but then in the second and following paragraphs give the impression that they are talking about the first half of the FY.
They also sound somewhat uncertain what the second half of the FY will look like so why would they give guidance other than for the first 6 months. It's also very unusual for a company like SDI this early into the FY to even be able to give a rough estimate of what the end of year financials will look like. They even make the point that they will be launching new products in the second half which could effect earnings.
I'd expect another announcement fairly soon with a clearer clarification - hopefully we are in for a bounce. It'll be interesting to see what the market depth page looks like before the market opens, might be a good opportunity for those quick of the mark.
