At risk of sounding like a bandwagon hopper, i'll add my 2 cents.

I find it quite mystifying that someone who has worked in finance their whole life finds it funny that an investor would want to pay less rather than more.

Perhaps it's just a reflection of the way brokers think. As someone who has been a professional engineer virtually their entire adult life, perhaps i am just a little naive about the world of finance.

To me, for a financial professipnal to be perplexed by the desire for an investor to pay less, is a little like an engineer being perplexed by the desire to design a bridge to carry twice, or even 4 times, the expected weight of traffic.

For an engineer to pronounce such in a public forum, is tantamount to professional suicide.

Strange world, the world of finance...
