Why would MG shut Allansford? Why would they keep it open? It would make much more sense for them to take all the milk to koroit than continue with 2 plants.
Why will Saputo pay you a price higher than slightly above MG? It;s simple economics the more competitors driving demand the better price the suppliers get - the less competition in the market place the more the milk companies can screw the price down.
Why wont it be Saputo's aim to weaken MG?
It probably will be it's aim, but the only way to do that is to increase it's milk supply, which means outbidding MG which means more money for farmers.
