Just rented out my investment property on rent.com.au at a plus 10% premium (excluding their 8% fees) to what realestate agents thought it was worth. Once I listed the property, I was called by every real estate agent on the sunshine coast offering free appraisals whom imo tried to subliminally instil fear in being a DIY landlord. The market share is there for the offering imo however RNT needs to stop kowtowing to REA and real estate agencies which imo will stop potential price fixing in the market that shuts out self managed property owners.
