If the Joint Authority refuses to grant an application for a retention lease for a block(s) constituting a location, the declaration of a location over that block(s) must be revoked by the Joint Authority, by a notice published in the Gazette. No notice in the Gazette has yet appeared. The authority must still be considering OXX's request for reasons for its decision of 10 March. It's only been about 3 weeks since the request was sent to the authority.

You can check out the relevant Gazette notices: https://www.legislation.gov.au/Brow...es/InForce/Industry, Innovation and Science/0

I would have thought OXX would have been working in conjunction with the authority to address any barriers the authority identified as standing in the way of the granting of the retention lease.

Can I borrow the authority's crystal ball that enables them to see 15 years into the future? A borrow for just 1 day would be very appreciated.
