Sometimes it can be a trading tactic to buy a small holding when someone is trying to sell millions of options at 0.5 to force their hand at selling the remainder lower at 0.4 of a cent. I know if I was selling a large holding and somebody just bought 8000 I would be pretty annoyed with most of my order not even half sold.
