That has changed. The latest Colmar Brunton Poll (Aug 2018) showed that National's support was up 2% from Feb 2018. Labour (the major coalition partner) were down 6%. Those saying that the economic outlook would get worse rose 2%.
Major reasons for the lack of performance by the Govt. is that they are all talk and no action. They have 120+ different groups reviewing policy in all manner of things from tax to mental health. No one knows where things are heading and nothing is being done. Add to this mix Cabinet Ministers clearly out of their depth and somewhat arrogant to boot. Not too flash on the Kiwi side of the ditch.
