WELLINGTON, Jan 12 (Reuters) - Prices for New Zealand's main commodities - notably dairy, meat and horticultural products - fell in December for the second straight month, ANZ Bank's commodity price index showed on Tuesday.
The index fell 1.8 percent for the month, compared with a 5.6 percent fall in November.
On an annual basis the index was down 12.9 percent in December, compared with a 15.3 percent drop the month before.
Dairy products were down 3.5 percent in December. Non-dairy prices fell 0.2 percent in December.
In New Zealand dollar terms the index was down 3.9 percent on the previous month and was down 1.1 percent on an annual basis.
