WELLINGTON, Feb 25 (Reuters) - New Zealand posted a seasonally adjusted net gain of 6,130 permanent and long-term migrants in January, resulting in an unadjusted net gain of 65,911 for the past year, data from Statistics New Zealand showed on Thursday.
The number of short-term visitors to New Zealand rose 13.6 percent on a year ago, taking the total number of visitors for the year to January to 3.17 million, the highest ever annual total.
