SMH exposed a mass of Poor Australian Business Franchisees who have LOST EVERYTHING, their business their houses their wives their families. All because of greed. But in almost every post the SHOPPING CENTRE is blamed for the Massive Rents.
Around Australia, small businesses are being slaughtered by completely CALLOUS Shopping Centre Owners who don't care that their rents are UNSUSTAINABLE.
If the LANDLORD shuts them down, THEY LOSE EVERYTHING.
This is the next step in Retail Clean Up in Australia. The Lowys have clearly sounded the ALARM. They GOT OUT.
At first with RFG there were one or two stories of the horror of the Loss of Franchisees.
As this progressed more and more surfaced to TELL THEIR STORIES. Just like the global sex scandals, the momentum GREW.
If that happens in the Shopping Centre Sector, LOOK OUT.
I know in many MANY shopping Centres the stories are even more horrifying.
When the Australian Investor is confronted with this, he/she wont support this type of conduct and impact.
I just don't understand that more hasn't been made of the MIRIADS of ENTIRE SHOPPING Malls in the USA that are Ghost Town VACANT.
