Great news for Nine and Fairfax. They were rapidly becoming irrelevant in the media landscape and this should give some critical mass to the organisation. The assets and legacy of these companies will become less relevant over time and will make way for the digital strategy that will eventuate. We need a company of this size to compete in the new media landscape against Facebook, Google, etc
I know there are detractors, but we need to look with a lens to the future.
