Aug 14 - Newcrest Mining Ltd (NCM) reported a 22 percent rise in full-year underlying profit on Monday, but missed analysts' estimates.
Australia's largest independent gold miner reported underlying profit of A$394 million ($311 million) for the year ended June 30, versus A$323 million the previous year.
Analysts had forecast fiscal 2017 profit of around A$434 million.
Revenue for the year grew 6 percent to A$3.48 billion. ($1 = 1.2677 Australian dollars)
