Thought I would share my recent Woolworths/Coles experience with you all.
(BTW I am neither a shareholder or Employee of either store, and regularly shop at both).
Last week I purchased from Woolies a small plastic container of pre-packaged eggplant, marinating in Olive oil.
A few days ago I bought from Coles the same looking container of pre-packaged Eggplant, also marinating in Olive oil.
They were priced about the same. This is where the similarities ended.
The Woolies eggplant had the texture of leather. It was hard to chew.
The coles container had at least double the amount of olive oil for the eggplant to marinate in, and tasted delicious.
I am not surprised Woolies are struggling.
