All spin and BS for mine.

He claimed a few weeks back Whyalla would go to 5 million tons then 10 million tons. Now the plan is to get it from 1.2 to 1.5 million. Great idea if you can sell the increased tonnage, same with Rooty Hill and Laverton.

Problem is he can't sell it here and if he exports it will potentially be at a loss, no future in that scenario.

That's what impacted Arrium in the first place, China dumping below cost steel into Australia due to a world wide surplus in steel making. Gupta claiming to ramp up production while steel plants around the world are cutting back or closing, makes no sense but if people want to believe it as part of the 'Gupta saving Whyalla scenario' while they take pay cuts and accept their investments being wiped then so be it.

Lanco sprouted the same BS when they purchased Griffin Coal from KM, now it's a mess with Lanco suing KM for deceptive and misleading behavior.

BSL would find the situation amusing.
