Debt usually refers to money owed to creditors- KME has very little.
They do have negative working capital due to money held for franchisees, but that is adequately covered by their cash balances. You have to go to the audited statements and read the notes to do it properly. I know it seems like a lot more work than Morningstar figures,
Just keep reading balance sheets and reconcile them with cashflows and look up investopedia when in doubt and you will figure it out over time!
