International Goldfields (ASX:IGS) has commenced trading on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, under the symbol COT.
The Frankfurt Stock Exchange is the world's 10th largest stock exchange by market capitalisation.
The company's acquisition of an 85% interest in Uruguay cannabis biosciences company Winter Garden Biosciences is gathering pace.
Uruguay became the first nation in the world to fully legalise at the federal regulatory level the research & development, as well as cultivation, distribution, sale and consumption of non-synthetic cannabinoids and hemp.
David Tasker, director, commented:
"The company is pleased to have gained a Frankfurt listing, in conjunction with and supported by a significant local market maker, as it allows the company to engage with another large, sophisticated investor audience.
"In addition, we believe this market will be extremely receptive to the WinterGarden story, particularly as the European market for legal cannabinoids and hemp based products is very mature and well supported by local investors."
