As per the AFR article, it appears the case is only for those who purchased in a certain time frame, not all shareholders. This is a little surprising given all shareholders have been misled. So I guess the maximum case amount would be the total shares purchased in this period multiplied by the drop in SP in the period?
"Investors who bought shares in UGL from August 8 2014 to November 5 2014 have been asked to register their interest in the class action. If there is enough interest, the action will be funded by IMF Bentham."
