I think we all hope that the Sierra Leone resource is positive for the locals and for shareholders. While I hate the term "emotional intelligence", some of that is called for here. Iluka management needs to be seen to be, and to really be, a supporter of the populace around the mine.
Spending say $5 million to improve the prospects of SL young people (and avoid bribing and corruption) would return to Iluka in spades.
I think we all hope that the Sierra Leone resource is positive...
