Leighton Holdings Ltd's (ASX:LEI) parent company Hochtief says it will approach Spanish construction company ACS to discuss a potential investors' agreement.
It's the first sign of improving relations since the heated takeover battle.
ACS disclosed that it began to increase its Hochtief stake by buying almost two million shares between January 18 and February 2 this year. ACS said its stake has risen to 33.5 per cent.
Leighton Holdings reported a net profit of $615 million for the year ended 30 June 2010.
