Shagang raises September ferro-silicon tender price
Beijing, 23 August — Chinese private-sector steelmaker Shagang has lifted its ferro-silicon tender price for delivery next month, because of tight spot supply.
The tender price has risen to 8,700-8,900 yuan/t ($1,305-1,335/t) for 72pc grade alloy, payable by acceptance bill, up by Yn2,100-2,300/t from August. The company is seeking 3,500t, up from 1,500t this month.
