Great but doesn't hide the fact that we need to phase out coal...

Great but doesn't hide the fact that we need to phase out coal mines not build new ones! These mines are purely to provide coal for third world countries who have not advanced to where we are. I live in Germany where we don't have problems with green power, Australia is unfortunately one of the highest polluting countries in the world and their policies have not changed much in the last decade as the government makes too much money from mining. It is time for a change that's all. South Australia obviously has issues making it work, doesn't mean everybody does. Renewables by 2020 are forecast to produce over half the worlds power, time for Australia to follow suit.
