MELBOURNE, Jan 8 (Reuters) - China's Angang Steel Co (Ansteel) 000898.SZ remains committed to the Karara iron ore mine in Australia, a spokesman for the project said on Friday after a newspaper report said concerns had been raised about the future of the mine.
"Ansteel remains committed to Karara," the Karara Mining spokesman who is a senior executive, told Reuters.
Ansteel has a 52 percent stake in the project. The remainder is owned by Gindalbie Metals Ltd (GBG) , which went on a trading halt on Friday pending an announcement on Karara.
