88 Energy didn't get lucky with its Winx-1 operation in Alaska but the well only represented around 5% of the net resource base across the company's wider portfolio, Cantor Fitzgerald analysts say. The financial services company says focus will now shift to the proposed farmout of 88 Energy's Icewine conventional portfolio, where a deal is being targeted for this quarter. Cantor Fitzgerald lowers its target price to 2.7 pence from 4.4 pence, but retains its buy rating. Shares are down 38% at 0.83 pence.
