Leaks don't always come from a companies management anyway. Sometimes they have the wrong business partners/contractors, but if management suspects that a leak has occurred, it is best to address it for the benefit of the shareholders.
Nobody likes it when a criminal who has paid off a member of a drill crew for a 'weather report' buys/sells before other shareholders. It damages the companies reputation.
I am sure most of us see this on a daily basis on the ASX. That doesn't mean it is acceptable or should be overlooked.
