News: eMerchants completes EFTPOS deal with Sportsbet.com.au

eMerchants (ASX:EML) should trade firmer after revealing that from today, customers of Australia’s biggest online bookmaker, Sportsbet.com.au, are able to instantly access their winnings using eMerchants technology.

The EFTPOS cards, created by eMerchants, allow Sportsbet.com.au customers to move winnings from their wagering account to their Sportsbet Cash card, which they can then use at any ATM or point of sale across Australia.

The integration of eMerchants prepaid platform into Sportsbet.com.au’s wagering platforms means its customers will be able to seamlessly deposit and manage their Sportsbet Cash card from any device.

eMerchants is a payments solutions provider of prepaid financial card products and services in Australia.

By using their proprietary Secure Account Management system, the company provides clients with innovative financial service payment solutions for reloadable and non-reloadable prepaid card programs.

In September, eMerchants agreed to acquire Store Financial Services UK (SFUK), a leading provider of prepaid stored value programs in 9 European countries, including the U.K.

The acquisition provides eMerchants with a platform to launch its reloadable business into Europe, leveraging SFUK’s established and profitable non-reloadable business.

SFUK has grown to become one of Europe’s largest shopping mall gift card processors and program managers, with over 100 programs in place, and is affiliated with Store Financial Systems, the world’s largest provider of shopping mall prepaid programs.
