Byron Energy (ASX:BYE) is the high bidder on a shallow water oil and gas block in the Gulf of Mexico offshore Louisiana.
Final award of the Eugene Island Block 18 is subject to approval by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management.
The block will add to the company’s existing portfolio of shallow water projects in the Gulf of Mexico.
EI Block 18 will be subject to enhanced seismic reprocessing techniques in the future.
