Well, at a guess, that might infer two things?
1. Investors are prepared to pay up big for exposure to foreign earnings. (Similar reaction today to CTD result - similar market cap and global business)
2. Companies prepared to invest in their people, products and processes and have astute management - are not overly common on the ASX, and highly sought after.
But, alas as we know, eye watering valuations are all relative. Appen has a market cap similar to BRG, but annual earnings are expected to be much less than BRG, about $45m when results come out Monday.
