Boadicea Resources (ASX:BOA) has commenced a ground electromagnetic survey at its Symons Hill nickel project in Western Australia's Fraser Range.

The ground survey is focused on two areas of anomalous auger geochemistry where aircore drilling has confirmed anomalous nickel values associated with ultramafic lithologies in deeply weathered terrain.

The survey is focused adjacent to the tenement licence boundary of Sirius Resources (ASX:SIR) where aircore drilling targeting anomalous geochemistry highlighted an anomalous trend of nickel, copper, cobalt and chromium.

A number of holes finished in iron rich oxidised rocks containing higher values towards the end of the holes.

The survey is designed to evaluate the potential at depth for the presence of sulphide accumulations in the vicinity of the ultramafic lithologies and intrusive gabbro bodies defined by the previous drilling.

It is expected to take around three weeks to complete, with interpretation and final results due the following month.

Following the completion of electromagnetics, a ground based gravity survey is planned to commence. The completion of these two geophysical surveys will provide information to refine drill targeting.

Recently the company was granted the Lake Nerramyne exploration licence located 160 kilometres northeast of Geraldton which is prospective for copper, nickel and platinum group metals.
