Feb 4 (Reuters) - Australia's largest building materials supplier, Boral Ltd (BLD) , said on Monday it expected core earnings for the first half of fiscal 2019 to be slightly lower than last year, affected by volume lags and delays to major projects and infrastructure.

The company expects earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) excluding significant items to be about A$485 million ($351.4 million), which is 3 percent lower than the A$500 million reported a year ago. ($1 = 1.3801 Australian dollars)
